Berkeley, CA (WFN) -- An internet site is offering $100,000 to the person who wins a contest encouraging people to vote. The "Vote or Not Challenge" at voteornot.org will give $100,000 to the winner of a contest who signs up on the website and promises to vote and tells their friends to do the same. The challenge was created by Jim Young and James Hong, the co-founders of hotornot.com, the popular online site where people submit their picture for others to rate on a scale of one to 10 based on "hotness." Hong says they created the contest so people would remember to vote, especially young people because "They are not apathetic, they are just lazy." Although Hong admits not everyone that signs up for the sweepstakes will actually vote, he figures a good majority of the 100,000 people who are expected to sign up will cast a ballot on election day.
