Boston, MA (WFN) -- The TV show "Ambush Makeover "premiered U.S.-wide last month, and already it's spawned groupies hoping to be selected for a beauty transformation.

The show's premise involves a team of stylists who pounce on unsuspecting slobs and offer them a head-to-toe makeover if they are willing to drop what they're doing for eight hours and be transformed.

The crew is currently traveling around the country on an enormous bus and show stylist William Whatley says the show is so popular now, that hundreds of people now loiter outside the bus hoping to be that selected slob.

Of course not everyone will be chosen, but Whatley -- who is known as the "rock star stylist" because of clients include N'Sync, Brandy and Destiny's Child -- has a few tips for those unfashionable folks.

He says acid wash jeans, hair scrunchies and wearing sandals with panty hose are all no-nos. Also, men shouldn't wear ties that hang below their beltline.
