	2004-10-04 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Lingerie Football League Formed

Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Beautiful women clad in lingerie will do their best John Elway and Jerry Rice imitations in the newly-formed lingerie football league. Horizon Productions has announced the formation of the Lingerie Football League, which will feature four teams of models and aspiring actresses who will battle it out on the gridiron to earn the coveted Lingerie Bowl title at the end of the football season. The four teams will face-off in a single elimination game a week before Super Bowl Sunday to determine who advances to play in the championship game, which takes place during that game's halftime show. Spokesman Steve James says more than 300 girls have tried out for the league in the last couple of weeks, but don't expect Kelly Bundy types to be throwing around the pigskin. James insists the ball-playing babes in the league will be "well spoken, intelligent and athletic." The game "more than likely," will be aired on Pay-Per-View and James expects the league's seasons to be a lot longer in the future.
