	2004-10-04 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Mexican Resort Offers A Concierge Solely For Soap

Playa Xcalacoco, Mexico (WFN) -- Talk about a clean escape: Visitors to one luxury resort in Mexico are able to call upon the services of a "soap concierge." The Ikal del Mar Villa Resort and Spa on Mexico's Mayan Riviera employs a woman whose sole job is to go to guests' villas and offer them specialty soaps which are made locally using ancient Mayan recipes. Upon a guest's arrival, the soap concierge arrives with a selection of the soap blocks. She then slices off samples that will last for about two showers. Folks can pick a different type of soap every night -- ranging from cinnamon to mint to aloe vera -- or have the same one delivered to their room fresh every day by the soap concierge. Hotel consultant Samir Saab, who came up with the concept for the soap concierge, says the soaps can also be used in conjunction with the private, outdoor "moon showers" that are located at each villa.
