San Diego, CA (WFN) -- If Britney Spears wants tips on dealing with married life, she better start watching "The O.C."

That's the advice of relationship expert Carina Castelli, who says Sandy and Kirsten Cohen -- the characters played by Peter Gallagher and Kelly Rowen -- are a picture-perfect example of a successful married couple.

Castelli says the secret is that the wife gets her way by convincing the husband it's his idea.

Another TV couple that Spears should watch is "Everybody Loves Raymond" couple Ray and Debra Barone. Castelli says Patricia Heaton's character is a whiz at making him think he's master of his domain.

But as much as watching TV can help Spears, Castelli says no woman is ever really prepared to spend the rest of their lives with someone who insists on "making strange bodily noises at free will; eating on the couch; or choosing not to shower for two days at a time."

Castelli offers more advice to marriage-minded couples in her new book, "The Unofficial Manual To Living With Men" (Metallic Press).
