	2004-09-22 - Weird News Wireless Flash News 'Hustle' Star Touches All Bases

Pittsburgh, PA (WFN) -- The actor in a new Pete Rose movie never met the character he had to play, but he did his best to keep his interpretation of the character in the ballpark. Actor Dash Mihok appears in the movie "Hustle," the story of sports legend Pete Rose's rise and fall due to gambling on baseball. Mihok plays Paul Janzez -- who was a friend, accomplice and whistle blower on Rose's habit -- and says he thinks he portrayed Janzez "a bit gently." In Mihok's opinion, "I think he was more rough of a human being." But Mihok admits he didn't have much time to find out about Janzez' true character. He never met Janzez and had to base his portrayal off a 25 second interview he saw on ESPN. Also, in order to make the movie more dramatic Mihok says he had to make him more innocent. "Hustle" will premiere Saturday (Sep. 25) on ESPN.
