Kingston, Jamaica (WFN) -- Hurricane Ivan stormed through Jamaica and now a song based on the disaster may storm up the charts. Reggae superstar Anthony B. is just about to release a new song, "Ivan," that was inspired by the wreckage that the hurricane left on the Caribbean island. Some of the lyrics in the stormy single include, "Got people a look for dem roof and divan/ Whey mis sey the brotha name Ivan/ Grandma sey she can't find silk nor nylon/ House a swim pon dry land." Anthony B. says proceeds for "Ivan" will benefit Jamaicans who lost their homes during the hurricane but doesn't want the song to bring his countrymen down. In his words, "Musically, I don't want to sound happy but I want to find a way to make people laugh again. I want to bring back the laughter." "Ivan" debuts tonight (Sep. 17) on Jamaican radio and copies will be sent next week to Miami, Florida. In addition, the song will appear on Anthony B.'s next album as well as a compilation charity disc.
