New York, NY -- Obesity can be a weighty issue, especially when it interferes with romance.

The heavy facts are revealed in a new survey between "Men's Fitness" and "Shape" magazines which polled men and women on how obesity affects their relationships and sex.

Nearly 50 percent of women say they've avoided sexual situations because they were uncomfortable with their bodies, and 24 percent of men have done the same.

Meanwhile, six percent of men say they've dumped a woman because she was too fat, and the same percentage of men say they were dumped for being a lardy lover.

Finally, 35 percent of men say they would not be in a relationship with, or marry, a woman who's overweight, while 75 percent of women say they would be in a relationship with an overweight man.
