Itasca, IL (WFN) -- The old gang is getting back together in Chicago this weekend, and they're wearing cement shoes. An exhibit called "The Golden Age of Gangsters Convention," which organizers claim is the first-ever display of original gangster memorabilia, will start this Friday (Sep. 10) at a Holiday Inn in Itasca, Illinois. Along with displays and exhibits, mobster actors like Joe Gannascoli and John Fiore from "The Sopranos" will attend as well as Dominic Capone, the last surviving Chicago descendant of Al Capone. According to organizer Harry Lawrence, Dominic looks exactly like Al and is an actor who plays up his mob ancestry. Despite dredging up old organized crime history, Lawrence says he's not worried about real organized crime taking place "a la" the Valentine's Day massacre. Although he says he's had calls from people saying, "who do I think I am. I'm glamorizing the lifestyle," he's also had praise for his efforts to hold the exhibit. Lawrence jokes, "I hope I don't offend anyone."
