	2004-09-08 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Tyson May Be Innocent Of Rape Conviction After All

Sarasota, FL (WFN) -- A relative of Desiree Washington says she has information that may suggest Mike Tyson didn't rape the Miss Black America contestant 13 years ago. Tonya Bustamante, a distant cousin of Washington, claims she "definitely knows people with valid information that sheds light on the Tyson and Washington case." Bustamante won't elaborate, citing the advice of her lawyers not to talk further about information related to the 1992 conviction that sent the boxer to prison for three years. A former Miss Black Rhode Island, Bustamante says she didn't come forward with the information sooner because she feared her crown would be taken away. Although Bustamante says she and Washington's were "friendly" right after the trial, she hasn't talked to her since, but adds "I'm hopeful she'll remain friendly after this."
