New York, NY (WFN) -- A set of political poker cards unveiled at the Republican National Convention is letting protesters express their views at the poker table. Gregory Belmont, creator of the so-called Presidential Poker deck, is holding a "poker protest" tonight (Sep. 1) at the RNC where liberals and conservatives can hash out their differences. Participants will be playing games like Texas-Hold-Em in George W. Bush's honor and "Boston Stud" for John Kerry fans with the newly-released cards featuring the faces of 26 high-profile Democrats and 26 high-profile Republicans. Each card has an illustration of one of the politicians, a caption and a poker rule. For instance, the king of spades features Bush clad in air force pilot attire with a caption that reads, "Misleads, misguides and misunderstimates." Belmont expects the protest to be "like a poker-thon," and adds he created the cards "...as a way to inform by entertaining and get people talking about issues." The cards can be bought at prezpoker.com and in New York gift shops.
