New York, NY (WFN) -- Preschoolers' taste in music isn't always applauded by their parents -- Raffi, anyone? -- but a new CD could change all that. Adult-friendly acts like R.E.M., Madonna and the Blue Man Group have contributed kid-pleasing tracks to the upcoming Epic Records release, "Mary Had A Little Amp." Included on the disc are preschool staples such as "Rainbow Connection," performed by the Dixie Chicks and "Baby Mine" by Bonnie Raitt. Surfer songboy Jack Johnson specially recorded a version of the "Schoolhouse Rock" hit "3 Rs Song," while Moby pitched in with an original track called "Anchovie." The October 5 release also includes the "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" song "Pure Imagination" performed by groovesters Maroon 5. All proceeds from the album will benefit organizations which advocate preschool attendance for all kids.
