Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Surfing champion-turned-singer Daize Shayne usually prefers to be on the waves but now she's got her mind on a Bush -- as in George W. Bush.

Shayne is one of the entertainers who will be performing at the Republican National Convention, which starts August 30 in New York City.

As such, she will be sharing the convention stage with Laura Bush and Arnold Schwarzenegger and says her job is to "build a bridge of unity" with her fellow citizens.

Although Shayne has performed at Bush rallies, she has yet to meet Dubya in person. Still, she says she's been told her tunes are popular at the White House, especially her hard rock cover of "I've Got The Music In Me."

Details are still being set up about the gig but Shayne plans to keep an extra tambourine on stage just in case "Dubya" -- a noted Beatles fan -- wants to jam with her on stage. In her words, "I'd love that."
