Somerville, MA -- A Boston-based rock group is turning Harry Potter into "Harry Popstar." For the last year, a group called Harry and the Potters has been performing power pop tunes based on the events and characters in J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" books. Some of their songs titles include, "Wizard Class," "Save Ginny Weasley" and "The Human Hosepipe." The Potter punk band is the brainchild of twentysomething brothers Joe and Paul DeGeorge, who both dress up as Harry onstage. So far, Harry and the Potters have released two albums and toured across America performing at libraries. Luckily, none of the librarians have thrown the book at them even though, as Paul admits, "We don't sound like a commercial band." The Potters are having a magical time but Paul doesn't know if the group will record a third album saying, "It depends on what the sixth novel is like. Preferably if it's long."
