New York, NY (WFN) -- Jane Pauley is entering the realm of daytime television but don't expect her to get wild for ratings.

Pauley refuses to follow the lead of other respected journalists like Phil Donahue and Geraldo Rivera who started out doing serious shows and ended up featuring episodes on topics like "transvestite wrestlers in the KKK."

In her words, "If that happens, they'll have to change the name of the show because I won't be on it."

"The Jane Pauley Show" debuts next Monday (Aug. 30).
