New York, NY (WFN) -- Are you intimidated by household gurus like Martha Stewart? Well, they're not born knowing their way around the kitchen.

HGTV host Susie Coelho admits she made a lot of entertaining mistakes before she earned the right to be called a "home style guru."

Coelho -- who currently hosts "Outer Spaces" on the network -- admits she burned a lot of steaks in her home economics classes before she got the hang of cooking. She once cooked a steak that was so tough she couldn't "...get the knife through the meat."
