American Athletes Don't Have The Mettle To Medal In Olympics

New York, NY (WFN) -- The U.S. Olympic team may not have the mettle to win as many medals as in previous games.

A new study by PricewaterhouseCoopers predicts the American team will win 70 medals in the Athens games -- 27 less than in 2000 Sydney Games.

Other countries who won't shine as much in previous years include Russia, which is expected to win 64 medals, down from its 2000 total of 88, and Germany, which could win 45 medals compared to the 57 won in Sydney.

Meanwhile, Greek athletes should be game for the Olympics. The study predicts the Greece team will 29 medals this year, 16 more than it won in 2000.
