Boca Raton, FL (WFN) -- Scared off from online internet dating because you fear you'll get picked up by a psycho? A new dating service is offering a solution: Blind date bodyguards. For $150, folks who use TellCupid.com get to stay under the watchful eyes of a licensed private investigator who tails them as they go on their first date with someone they've met online. Dating site founder Charles Loiacono -- who's been a P.I. for eight years -- says the bodyguard won't scare off your date, unless you want him to. In fact, the private eyes are instructed to stay hidden so the potential suitor will have no idea that he or she is being watched. After three hours, depending on how the date is going, users can dismiss their personal bodyguard or hire him for a few more hours. Loiacono says the service is geared toward professionals, but he feels parents would be willing to shell out a bodyguard fee for their college-age kids to ensure their safety on a blind date.
