Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Many actresses would be thrilled to get a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame but Penny Marshall is remaining philosophical.

The "Laverne & Shirley" star gets her star tomorrow (Aug. 12) and jokes that she's "...gone from being a doormat to a piece of cement."

She says it's about time for the star since she was supposed to get one ten years ago but had to postpone it because of work conflicts.

Now that the star ceremony is almost complete, Marshall says she has another goal in mind -- visiting Milwaukee, where the show was set.

As she puts it, "I've never been. I was there for five minutes back in the 1970s. Which is funny, because I'm a big fan of the Milwaukee Bucks."

Marshall may have to wait. She's busy promoting the DVD release of "Laverne & Shirley's" first season and producing Ron Howard's next movie, "Cinderella Man," which stars Russell Crowe.
