Donald Duck To Get Star On Walk Of Fame

Hollywood, CA (WFN) -- Donald Duck will soon have a real feather in his cap: A star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.

The sailor-suited cartoon star is set to receive his honor on Monday (Aug. 9), with Hollywood's honorary mayor and other Walk of Fame dignitaries presiding over the ceremony.

Tourists will be able to waddle all over the duck's name, which will appear -- fittingly -- on a star in front of Hollywood's Disney Store.

This year also marks Donald's 70th birthday. He started ruffling feathers in the cartoon world on June 9, 1934, when he first appeared in the animated short, "The Wise Little Hen."
