San Diego, CA (WFN) -- A handful of priests will be getting a bit grabby later this morning (Aug. 4) in San Diego. Father Joe Carroll and his team of four Catholic priests will compete in a charity shopping spree at an Albertsons grocery store where they will toss as many groceries into their cart as they can in five minutes. After calling time, the items will be totaled up and the cash equivalent, up to $15,000, will be donated by the store to Fr. Carroll's charity for runaway teens. The friars have been dubbed "The Holy Rollers," which Fr. Carroll thinks is great. Even though the priests have taken a vow of poverty, he says they have been practicing by casing supermarkets to scout out high-priced items. In his words, "They'll be going for the big roasts and high level steaks. They won't be going for Ding Dongs, and if they do I'll hit them over the head."
