Cape Coral, FL (WFN) -- Shirley Giarrusso has loved weiners for years and, now, she's being declared top dog. Tomorrow (Aug. 5), the Cape Coral, Florida, resident will be crowned "America's Most Enthusiastic Bratwurst Sausage Lover," at the annual Brat Days festival in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Giarrusso won the crown through an essay contest and admits she always figured her entry would cut the mustard. As she puts it, "I knew I was going to win." The 60-year-old former hairdresser attributes her love for sausages to her Italian roots and claims she eats them at least once a week with everything from chili to peppers. She may want to take a break after this weekend. Giarrusso has been entered into a contest to see who can gobble the most bratwurst in 10 minutes.
