|
Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Stop the presses: These days singer Justin Timberlake has a nose for news. LA-based acting coach Howard Fine taught Timberlake the finer points of acting for the singer's first major movie role as an investigative reporter in "Edison. "Much of Fine's technique is recognizing that "every character is found inside the self." That means Fine had to get Timberlake to tap into his own life experiences where he felt fear, ambition and rage, all of which were required for the role. To get further into the role, Fine had Timberlake sit in on courtroom trials and spend time in libraries researching topics. What Timberlake learned about being a reporter, says, Fine is that they have to be tenacious and charming to get what they want. But Timberlake isn't likely to use journalism as a fallback career. In Fine's words, "He has wonderful potential as an actor."
