Punk Band Has Hot-Headed Fans

San Diego, CA (WFN) -- Some punk rock fans are hot heads, but there's a guy in Tennessee who is taking it to the extreme -- by setting himself on fire.

Jeff Fortson of the Georgia-based punk band, Squad Five-O, says he ran into the hot-headed fan at a show in Tennessee, and says the guy demonstrated his love of the band by stealing gasoline out of the fuel tank of the band's van.

Then, he filled his cheeks with fuel and spat it out of his mouth. Unfortunately, when the fan attempted to light the gas on fire, it exploded, burning him badly.

While Squad Five-O's fans are burning with excitement, Fortson admits sales of the band's new album, "Late News Breaking," are not so hot, which is why the band will be touring until the end of August.
