| 2004-07-19 - Weird News Wireless Flash News Will Smith: From 'I, Robot' To 'I, Rotund' | ||
|
Washington (WFN) -- Will Smith's new movie should be called "I, Rotund," not "I, Robot" -- at least where his body mass index is concerned. According to a study by the Center for Consumer Freedom, a BMI score of 25 counts as "overweight," and Smith -- who carries 210 lbs on his 6-foot, 2-inch frame -- has a BMI index of 27, two points above the overweight mark. Smith isn't the only seemingly buff star who qualifies as a chub tub. Matt Damon and Vin Diesel have BMIs of 26 while Denzel Washington has a score of 27. In addition, the study suggests Brad Pitt should retitle his latest film "Troy To Lose Weight" -- he has a BMI of 28. This news might weigh heavy on the celebrities' minds -- and stomachs -- but study spokesman Mike Burita says all it does is show how flawed the BMI is, especially when famed physiques like The Rock or Arnold Schwarzenegger each rate a whopping 33 on the scale.
