Vista, CA -- Legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk is rolling on to a new job: Talk show host.

Starting tomorrow (Jul. 20), the air-catching extreme sportsman will step behind the microphone in a special studio built in his skateboarding facility in Vista, California, for a weekly, one-hour talk show on Sirius satellite radio.

Hawk is being given free reign to bring in whatever guests he wants and play any music that strikes his fancy -- whether it's punk rock, hip hop or electronica.

Sirius radio executive Scott Greenstein says he expects the skater to bring an edginess and originality to the network, thanks to his worldwide reputation as the ambassador of skateboarding.

The Hawk show is the first in a series of radio shows hosted by extreme sports stars which will air on the radio network's Faction channel.
