Beijing, China (WFN) -- A Chinese author is releasing a novel entirely by text messaging. China's Xinhua news agency reports Qian Fuchang is condensing his steamy love story, "Outside the Fortress Besieged" into 60 chapters which consist of 70 words each -- making them easier to transmit via text message. SEATTLE -- A Washington state couple has completed a quest to visit every major and minor league baseball stadium in the U.S. and Canada. It took retirees Jim and Andrea more than two years to complete the 55,604 tour of ballparks, reports the" Seattle Times." LONDON -- A British man had a little trouble walking after he accidentally shot off his testicles with a sawed-off shotgun. David Walker tossed back 15 pints of beer at a pub in South Yorkshire where he got into an argument with his friend. He returned home and stuffed his shotgun down his pants, and while walking back, the gun fired, spraying pellets into his testicles. Adding insult to injury, Walker was jailed yesterday for five years for possession of illegal firearms. COPENHAGEN, Denmark -- A Danish inventor has come up with a safety-shoe to allow people trapped in high-rises to escape lickety-split. Gunni Jensen was inspired by the World Trade Center tragedy to create a "glideshoe." In an emergency, people strap on the shoe, which clicks into a railing on the outside of the building. They then slide down to the ground in a method similar to rappelling down a mountain. A security firm bought the rights to sell the device in Denmark earlier this week.
