Fribourg, Switzerland (WFN) -- Are farts art? They will be at a demonstration happening later today (Jul. 7) at an arts festival in Fribourg, Switzerland.

The "Fart Ventures" seminar orchestrated by filmmaker Yuri A starts out with a meal designed to make seminar-goers break wind -- including broccoli, hard-boiled eggs and red cabbage.

As they eat, participants will be able to create "faux" flatulence with novelty toys set on their tables, as well as listen to tooting tunes made from recordings of farts.

Ms. A plans to place whoopee cushions under some chairs so guests will have a real gas.

With the audience properly prepped, the artist will present a short film about farts and a performer named Mr. Methane will start his act. By that time, Yuri hopes some real emissions will be erupting from the audience.

She estimates, "If there are 100 participants, there will be about 10 farts every 15 minutes."

As a final fanfare, Yuri will set off "fart bombs" as participants leave the two-hour-long presentation.
