Sedona, AZ (WFN) -- Think it's impossible to travel across America without using one drop of gas? Think again. Australian TV producer Shaun Murphy is on the verge of completing a coast-to-coast trek using only vehicles powered by alternative fuels ranging from corn whiskey to cow pies. Murphy has been on the road since last July in his quest to protest high gas prices, riding in everything from a solar-powered canoe to a jet turbine Chevy pickup fueled by soybeans and corn liquor. Then there's the Hummer which utilizes a "gasifier" that converts food into fuel. Murphy drove it across Louisiana, feeding the vehicle Cajun delicacies like crawfish and beignets. However, his favorite vehicle is his Electric Cruiser: A Harley-Davidson lookalike which can run on garbage, cow pies, solar energy or wind power. If all goes well, Murphy will end his journey July 22 in San Francisco and he's pledged never to ride in a gas-powered vehicle again.
