Feathers Flying At World Pillow Fighting Championship

Kenwood, CA (WFN) -- Most brides wear their wedding dress at their wedding, but one blushing bride plans to wear hers in the mud this Sunday (Jul. 4).

It's all part of the World Pillow Fighting Championship taking place in Kenwood, California, where competitors punch it out in a muddy pit.

The first pillow fighter to hit the mud loses the match and some fighters play dirty -- such as the woman who is competing in a full-length wedding gown.

Event spokeswoman Anne Marie Quintana says the competitors are pillow fighting for a coveted pillow fighting plaque and a $500 grand prize -- which presumably covers some of the cleaning bills.
