Norfolk, VA (WFN) -- Rock mom Sharon Osbourne is getting the animal activists at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals to purr like pussycats.

In the latest issue of "PETA's Animal Times," the pro-animal organization awards Osbourne with "Purrs" for ridding her closets of fur and encouraging viewers of her TV talk show to donate their furs to PETA to be distributed to the needy.

On the flip side, PETA is giving some "Grrs" to "Lady Marmalade" remix singer Mya for wearing a mink pelt at a fashion show for furrier Helen Yarmak.

"Boys Don't Cry" star Chloe Sevigny gets some Purrs for ridding her New York apartment of mice using humane traps which allowed her to take the critters outside and set them free.

Isley Brothers singer Ron Isley gets some Grrs for his plans to develop a line of fur coats for men.

Finally, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia is on the animal anger list for going duck hunting with Dick Cheney.
