Ridgway, CO (WFN) -- Western actor Dennis Weaver is putting one of his homes out to pasture.

80-year-old actor Dennis Weaver is selling his eco-friendly home known as Earthship, located in Ridgway, Colorado.

The 10,000-square-foot home is built on 20 acres, has a ridiculously low electric bill of $50 a month thanks to its solar power panels, the walls are insulated with over 3,000 used tires and 300,000 aluminum cans, the property has a pond and a stream running through it and a view of the rockies.

Weaver's publicist, Julian Meyers, says the actor's daughter-in-law was killed almost a year ago in a car accident at a farmers' market in Los Angeles, when a senior citizen hit several pedestrians with his car.

Meyers says, without her, the family isn't the same. Now Weaver prefers to be closer to his work in Los Angeles where he also lectures on ecology issues.

The asking price of the home is $4.25 million.
