Los Angeles, CA -- The gods of air guitar will be converging on Los Angeles tomorrow (Jun. 17) to find who among them can really rock.

Five masters of mock guitar playing will face off at the U.S. Air Guitar Championships, fingering along to classic rock standards by great guitar bands like Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Air guitar experts will be judged on their technical ability, stage presence and their "airness" -- a measure of how much the artist is developing his own style and not merely copying the rockers.

All of this is decided in just 60 seconds of air guitar performance and the winner will go on to the World Championships in Finland this August, where last year's winner -- American David "C. Diddy" Jung -- will be defending his title.
