New York, NY (WFN) -- American soldiers have weeded out Saddam Hussein, but they're unable to smoke out all of the Iraqi pot and hashish.

That's the buzz from an American soldier named Carlos Arellano, who recently found a marijuana bush growing in Baghdad and photographed it for his friends stateside.

Arellano -- who also performs as a rapper under the stage name, "Singe" -- says the Baghdad buds are beauties to behold and claims the locals start grinning whenever the word, "hashish" is spoken.

He also says hookahs are sold everywhere in Iraq and claims that marijuana "draws people together...It's the true blossom from Mother Earth."

Arellano's pot picture is on the cover of the upcoming issue of "High Times: Grow America" and editor Stephen Bloom says it's ironic that the soldier is "...a hero defending his country in Iraq but when he comes home and smokes a joint, he'll be a criminal."
