New York, NY (WFN) -- Twelve-year-old Justin Randazzo is in a field of his own: He's the winner of this year's Sports Authority's Jr. MetsCaster contest. That's where kids who want to be sportscasters use their best announcer voice to wow judges, and, this year, Randazzo hit it out of the park. Randazzo says he's been a Mets fan all his life and even before he heard about the contest he would talk over the TV announcers during broadcasts, giving his own play-by-play commentary. He says he's also trying to develop his own catch phrase like: "Everybody in the stands is going wild." His reward for being the best Jr. MetsCaster is that he will get to announce the starting line up before a live crowd at Shea Stadium, interview the Mets' coach and players, and go to batting practice at the June 23 game. For now, he's spending his time thinking up good questions to ask the players and coach, but Randazzo says he plans to keep practicing at home because he wants to have a career in sports broadcasting.
