|
San Francisco, CA (WFN) -- One of the biggest subjects of discussion on Court TV is also one of the channel's biggest fans: O.J. Simpson. That's the discovery of writer Harmon Leon, who spent two weeks as O.J.'s "second banana" for an upcoming hidden camera prank show, "Juiced!" Leon's job required him to help the Juice pull off gags like posing as a hapless hotel clerk or trying to sell car customers a used Ford Bronco, and the writer says he learned quite a bit about the infamous former football player in the process. For starters, there's the Court TV addiction. Leon says O.J. would watch court coverage on the channel and ask aloud, "How are they going to work me into this?" Leon also says at times O.J. seemed to have forgotten he was supposed to be pulling a hidden camera prank, asking his victims, "Hey, I'm O.J., do you recognize me?" But perhaps the strangest thing Leon learned is that people still love O.J. In his words, "I expected the people we pranked to run in terror, but everybody was totally excited and happy." He writes about his experiences in the July issue of "Stuff."
