|
San Francisco, CA (WFN) -- An artist in San Francisco has pressing matters to attend to: He wants to hear back from the people who have his t-shirts. Chris Sollaris launched a project in 1999 where he created four t-shirts that were intended to travel around the world and he would track their journey. Each wearer would pass along the shirt to someone new -- after washing it -- and also send Sollaris the story of where the shirt was now. But lately, Sollaris has lost track of the original shirts and only knows the whereabouts of one of the four. He launched the same project again in 2001 and is set to launch a few more shirts this summer, but would like to have some stories sent back regarding the original prototype. He tracks all other shirts on his website theshirtthatgetsaround.com, and says some have reached India, Germany, New Zealand, Korea and Japan. Sollaris says each shirt has its own identity and "takes on its own life."
