Duxbury, MA (WFN) -- Cupcakes and other sweet treats have been banned at a Massachusetts school due to parents' and teachers' concerns over kids eating too much junk food. The principal of the Chandler School in Duxbury tells "The Boston Globe" the school wants to "shift the focus onto the child and not the food." To that end, the birthday boy or girl will be given a special cover for their chair, a sash, a pencil and a sticker. NEW YORK -- Teachers on their summer break are getting a price break at one hotel in New York. The Westin New York at Times Square is offering a special $199 per night weekend rate all summer long, which also includes an apple on the teacher's pillow every night at turndown. HONG KONG -- Almost one million people in Hong Kong turned out to see the Buddha's finger while it was on display for 10 days at an exhibit. The finger was flown out from mainland China to celebrate the Buddha's birthday, but some citizens thumbed their noses at the finger believing it was an attempt by the mainland leadership to calm public outrage over its decision to rule out full democracy in Hong Kong. The finger is now winging its way back to the Famen Temple in the city of Xian. NEW YORK -- The husband of a consular official at the Bangladesh Mission to the United Nations is the second man to sue New York-based strip club Scores, claiming the management jacked up the price of his bill. Tauhidul Chaudhury was charged $129,626 on four credit cards, which works out to 6,500 five-minute lap-dances by his account. The first man to file a lawsuit against Scores was the chief financial officer for the American division of Swiss Reinsurance Co., who claims he was soaked for $28,000.
