Americans Are French Fry Fiends

Chicago, IL (WFN) -- No wonder so many Americans have a hard time losing weight: A new survey shows more than eighty percent eat french fries several times a month.

Additionally, the poll by Ore-Ida shows 25 percent grease up with fries at least once a week and 20 percent eat them a few times a week.

Other french fried findings...

-- Although 72 percent of Americans like their fries crispy, three percent prefer them to be soggy.

-- Harrison Ford and Julia Roberts are the two celebrities with whom Americans would be most willing to share french fries.

-- Finally, ketchup is the most popular condiment for fries, but 21 percent of those polled would rather top their fries with cheese; 11 percent prefer vinegar; and nine percent go for gravy.
