Frankenmuth, Michigan, Among Finalists For Beer Hall Of Fame

Severna Park, MD (WFN) -- You may have never heard of Frankenmuth, Michigan, but the city may soon be a mecca for beer nuts all over the world.

Frankenmuth -- a suburb of Saginaw -- is one of 23 American cities chosen as the potential future home of the Beer Hall of Fame.

Other cities that have tapped in support for the idea include Portland, Oregon; San Diego; Milwaukee; and Chicago.

There's even been a bid by the Walt Disney Company to locate the Hall in Anaheim, California, near Disneyland.

Organizers for the Hall are tapping into public support for the choice of a sudsy city at beerhalloffame.com and expect to release a short list of kegger contenders later this year.
