Houston, TX -- Anna Nicole Smith's sister was recently featured in a tabloid story by "The Star," but now she wants to recant what she said.

Donna Hogan -- Smith's younger half-sister -- says the reporter told her she would be interviewed for a story about Smith's relationship with her mother and father.

But when Hogan dished to their reporters that Smith once offered to financially "take care" of Hogan's daughter, they refocused the story on her.

Now, Hogan won't say if Smith offered to adopt her daughter for $25,000, but she's talking to the media to convince them she's nothing like her sister.

Hogan says she and Smith haven't spoken in seven-and-a-half years and that she distanced herself when the model "started acting like a superstar."

In fact, she avoids telling people that she's related to Smith because they usually respond: "I'm sorry, that must be horrible."

Hogan also says, "I would like to get away from that white-trash image," adding for the record, "I have all my teeth."
