Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Although fertility science is still in its infancy, its future looks very fertile according to researcher Dr. Arthur Wisot. The Los Angeles-based doctor is a pioneer in in vitro fertilization and says scientists "...have learned more about reproduction in the last 25 years than in the previous 400." As a result, Visot says, it's "possible to fool Mother Nature. We do it every day." Still, some child-craving couples find results from low-tech fertility treatments. For instance, one baby aspirin a day helps increase the chances of pregnancy for women having IVF and anecdotal evidence suggests acupuncture also helps. But some fertility techniques don't require any serious medical attention, such as something Visot calls "the attitude adjustment." Dr. Visot discusses the latest in infertility treatments in a new book, "Conceptions And Misconceptions: The Informed Consumer's Guide To In Vitro Fertilization And Other Assisted Reproduction" (Hartley & Marks).
