East Cleveland, OH (WFN) -- A 69-year-old woman who was barred from the National Honors Society 51 years ago will finally be given her due. Overachiever Catherine Peters Wagner believes she was kept out of the society because she was caught giving her high school boyfriend -- who she later married -- a kiss in the hallway during senior year. It was last year during her 50th high school reunion she recounted the story to the current vice principal who facilitated her induction.

DUBLIN -- An Irishman is hoping there's no bones about whether he's the heir to a $165 million fortune left behind by a Savannah, Georgia, woman who died in 1983 without leaving a will. Dermont O'Regan is using a bone sample from his grandfather's thigh to prove his DNA is related to Mary Ellen Sheehan. Other relatives have put claims on the fortune, but O'Regan claims they are more distant cousins than he is.

BOSTON -- A Boston city councilman is getting behind the wheel of a taxi to learn more about the people in his district. Paul J. Scapicchio will work as a cabbie at least once a month and donate his earnings to the YMCA. "The Boston Globe" reports that on the politicos first day as a hack, he picked up one of his City Hall chums and drove her to work.

ROME -- Italian police could soon be getting traffic tickets of their own while driving the newest police car model: A Lamborghini. The car maker donated a two-seater Gallardo that can cruise along at 192 mph to the police force for use on highways in the southern part of the country, reports ananova.com.
