Des Moines, IA -- If Slipknot's upcoming CD is a hit, there's a ghost of a chance that spooks are responsible. That's because Slipknot recorded the album, "Vol. 3 (The Subliminal Verses)" in an allegedly haunted house once owned by Harry Houdini that now belongs to producer Rick Rubin. Slipknot's "custom percussionist" "Chris," says the spooked-out studio was a strange place to make the album because "the lights kept going on and off and we kept hearing strange loop noises on the monitors during playback." Despite minor hassles caused by the metal-loving spooks, Chris credits the paranormal presence "with inspiring everyone in the band to have a voice about the songs -- not just the main writers." Slipknot will release the album on May 25 and Chris claims the studio spooks helped turned the recording into what he calls "... "The Dark Side Of The Moon" of dark metal."
