New York, NY (WFN) -- Did you know that every day at 5 p.m., the cooks at the White House whip up a fresh batch of french fries for employees in the West Wing?

It's true, according to Stephen P. Williams, who methodically researched all aspects of working in the White House for a new guidebook, "How To Be President" (Chronicle Books).

Evidently, the West Wing is nirvana for fans of salty snack foods. Besides the daily doses of french fries, the President and his employees also have M&Ms, chips, pretzels and sodas stuffed in every room for free-of-charge snacking.

Williams' guide is supposed to be a humorous look at a serious job, not an official guide for new presidents -- but he says some folks have mistaken it for a real U.S. president's guide, complete with tips on "How To Act In A Press Conference" and clothing dos and don'ts for Camp David.

Nevertheless, he expects presidential candidates George W. Bush and John Kerry will snap up copies.
