|
Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- There are two main things comic Howie Mandel is known for: His hidden camera gags on "The Tonight Show" and the baby voice he uses in his stand-up act that also inspired his 1990s animated series "Bobby's World." Now, he has projects brewing using both of those comic foils. Mandel just wrapped a TV pilot for a half-hour comedy which follows him on his numerous camera gag adventures, which he embarks on almost every day. In addition, a DVD of his favorite episodes of "Bobby's World" has just hit stores and there are plans in the works for a new version of "Bobby's World," which ended its run in 1998. Mandel is ready to start squeaking like a child again, claiming "it's actually easier for me to do that voice than it is for me to do my regular voice." A bit of trivia about his toddler tones: He discovered his ability to speak that way during a childhood choking spell. All the kids around him were laughing, and Mandel says that's when he realized he could use this to his advantage as a class clown. In his words, "Who knew that years later it would become a series?"
