Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- Some actors take a bow when they win awards but if soap actor David Lago wins a Daytime Emmy, he'll take a bowtie.

Lago plays Raul Guittierez on "The Young And The Restless" and is nominated for an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor In A Daytime Drama Series.

This is the 25-year-old actor's fourth nomination and his last chance before he becomes ineligible for the award, so he's not taking any chances -- he's depending on his mom for the win.

Lago says his mother gave him a bowtie before his first awards show and he's never worn it. Now, he's hoping it turns out to be his lucky charm.

He'll have to wait to find out. The Emmys take place May 21.
