Moscow, ID (WFN) -- Remember when getting chocolate in your peanut butter caused a stir? Today chocolate makers are adding spices. Chocolatier Marilyn Lysohir who calls herself the head cowgirl at her Cowgirl Chocolates company started her business by putting cayenne pepper in her truffles. Lysohir says she started making spicy sweets in 1997 when her brother took the challenge of a chocolatier who said he'd give $10,000 to the person who could create a new chocolate flavor. The chocolatier dismissed his idea, but Marilyn decided to pursue it. These days she puts cayenne in her macadamia, raspberry and mint flavors truffles. She says the cayenne kicks in three seconds after eating the chocolate. The idea has taken off she says, and now orders are rolling in from New Zealand, Berlin, Germany, and the movie crew of "Harry Potter" in England are fond of them too.
