San Diego, CA (WFN) -- "Friends" may be ending its 10-year-run on NBC on May 6 but the show won't be forgotten if one San Diego songwriter has his way. David Moye is so depressed over the end of "Friends" that he's poured out his pain in a new song appropriately titled, "End Of Friends." Some of the lovelorn lyrics in his couch potato cantata include, "Remember Monica in her fat suit?/ Ross' monkey sure was cute. Chandler breaks and never bends/ Oh my gosh, it's the end of Friends." Moye wrote the song after he realizing how many of his own friends' inside jokes were based on "Friends'" episodes and he even calls his band "The Hanukkah Armadillo" after an outfit worn by Ross. Although Moye hopes the sitcom-oriented song reaches as many "depressed TV fanatics as possible" before the "Friends" finale, he has no delusions of fame since similar tribute songs to "Seinfeld" failed to soar up the charts. Still, he figures "any catharsis is good."
