'Friends' Gone But Not Forgotten

Los Angeles, CA (WFN) -- The theme song says "I'll be there for you," but "Friends" producers are already experiencing separation anxiety.

The long-running sitcom will come to an end in two week, and executive producers Marta Kaufman and David Crane describe the end of the show as feeling like a cross between breaking up with a lover and loosing a family member.

Kaufman says for her the the loss is like "getting a divorce from someone you're still in love with," while Crane says, "It's like sending your kid off to college. You know it's the right time and the right thing to do."

Kaufman tacks on, "The only difference is, you know your kid will come back after four years."

The "Friends" finale will air Thursday, May 6.
